This section provides answers to the most frequently asked questions about participating in Science Vector student research conferences, submitting conference papers, manuscript formatting, publication in conference proceedings, certificates, DOI assignment, and online participation.
Here you can quickly find important information before submitting your paper, including who can participate, whether a presentation is required, how to submit papers online, manuscript requirements, and what participants receive after the conference.

What Is a Student Research Conference?

A student research conference is an international online conference that allows students to publish conference papers and research results in academic proceedings without attending in person.
Online student conferences enable students to submit research papers remotely from anywhere in the world. Participation involves preparing a paper according to the conference requirements, submitting it through an online form, and publishing it in the conference proceedings.
Following each conference, an electronic volume of conference proceedings is published and assigned an International Standard Book Number (ISBN). Selected papers may also receive a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) through Crossref.
Student research conferences cover a wide range of academic disciplines, including economics, management, information technology, engineering, social sciences, humanities, and other fields. Participants choose the most appropriate conference section based on their research topic.
Participation is entirely online and does not require presentations, public speaking, or physical attendance.
To find a suitable conference, please visit the conference calendar.

Who Can Participate in a Student Research Conference?

Student research conferences are open to participants at different levels of education.
Eligible participants include:
— senior secondary school students;
— college students;
— undergraduate students;
— master’s degree students;
— cadets;
— participants in educational and professional development programs.
Participation is available regardless of the mode of study (full-time, part-time, or distance learning) and regardless of the educational institution or country of study.
Student research conferences are designed for participants who are preparing coursework, graduation projects, research papers, or other academic works and wish to publish the results of their research in conference proceedings.

Do I Need to Give a Presentation at the Conference?

No. Participation in Science Vector student research conferences does not require presentations, public speaking, or physical attendance. Paper submission, manuscript review, and conference participation are conducted entirely online through the participant submission form.
You can learn more about this format on the “Conferences Without Presentation” page.

Can I Submit a Conference Paper Online?

Yes. Conference papers can be submitted online through the participant submission form available for each student research conference. Participants may submit their papers and take part in the conference remotely without physical attendance.
More information about remote participation is available on the “Online Academic Conferences” page.

Can I Submit a Paper Without an Academic Supervisor?

Yes. Master’s degree students may submit research papers without an academic supervisor. In this case, the author may leave the academic supervisor field blank when completing the submission form.
If desired, information about an academic supervisor may still be included in the publication.

Are Submitted Papers Checked for Plagiarism?

Yes. All submitted papers are reviewed for compliance with academic integrity standards before publication in the conference proceedings.
The review process is intended to identify plagiarism, improper citation practices, and other violations of academic integrity. Only papers that meet the established requirements are accepted for publication.
The recommended minimum text originality level is 60%. If significant plagiarism or excessive similarities are identified, the paper may be returned to the author for revision.
Compliance with academic integrity requirements is a mandatory condition for participation in a student research conference.

How Long Does the Review Process Take?

Submitted papers are reviewed by the Organizing Committee for compliance with formatting requirements and academic integrity standards. After the review, participants receive an email notification regarding the acceptance of their paper for publication.
In most cases, submitted papers are reviewed within 6–24 hours after submission.

What Are the Formatting Requirements for Conference Papers?

Submitted papers must comply with the Science Vector formatting requirements regarding structure, length, text formatting, references, and academic integrity standards.
Detailed paper formatting requirements are available on the “Formatting Requirements” page.

What Conference Sections Are Available?

Science Vector student research conferences cover a wide range of academic disciplines, including economics, law, information technology, education, medicine, engineering, humanities, and natural sciences.
A complete list of conference sections is available on the “Conference Sections” page.

What Is Included in Conference Participation?

Participation in a student research conference results in the publication of academic work in the conference proceedings.
Participants receive:
— publication of their conference paper in the conference proceedings;
— an electronic personalized certificate of participation;
— the option to obtain a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) for their paper, if required (additional conditions apply).
The electronic conference proceedings are published in open access and may be used for academic, educational, and professional reporting purposes.

What Is a DOI and Is It Required?

A DOI (Digital Object Identifier) is a unique identifier assigned to a research paper to ensure its permanent identification and easier discovery in digital academic environments.
A DOI provides a stable link to a publication, simplifies citation, and improves the accessibility of research materials for academic and educational purposes.
Obtaining a DOI is an optional service and is not required for participation in a student research conference. Conference papers may be published in the conference proceedings without DOI assignment.
Participants may decide whether a DOI is necessary based on their individual academic or professional needs.
More information about participation fees and additional services is available on the “Payment page“.

Can I Change the Topic or Conference Section After Submission?

Yes. The topic of a research paper or the selected conference section may be changed after submission, but only before the submission deadline for the student research conference.
To request a change, participants should contact the Organizing Committee. Changes can be made provided that the request is submitted before the conference submission deadline.
After the submission period has ended, changes to the paper topic or conference section are generally not possible, as the conference proceedings are being prepared for publication.
Participants are encouraged to review their selected topic and conference section carefully before submission to avoid the need for later changes.
A complete list of available conference sections and research areas can be found on the “Conference Sections” page.

Is a Reference List Required?

Yes. A reference list is a mandatory part of a research paper and must be prepared in accordance with the established submission requirements.
The reference list confirms the sources used in the research, ensures proper citation practices, and supports compliance with academic integrity standards.
References should include all sources cited in the paper and must be placed at the end of the manuscript. Source descriptions should follow the required citation format.
A properly formatted reference list is required for a paper to be accepted for publication in the conference proceedings.
For detailed formatting instructions, please refer to the Reference Formatting Examples.

Can I Submit a Paper That Has Already Been Published Elsewhere?

No. Only original research papers that have not been previously published in journals, conference proceedings, repositories, websites, or other academic resources are accepted for publication.
Submission of previously published materials is not permitted, as it violates academic integrity standards and the requirements for academic publications.
If a paper is found to have been published previously, it may be rejected or withdrawn from the publication process.

What Documents Does a Conference Participant Receive?

Upon request, participants may receive a confirmation letter stating that their paper has been accepted for publication in the conference proceedings.
After the student research conference has been completed, participants receive:
— an electronic certificate of participation;
— an electronic version of the conference proceedings.
